AHIRWAR KSHATRIYA SAMAJ

The Ahirwar was derived from Ahir. The Ahirs are one of the most ancient martial tribes of India, who ruled over different parts of India and Nepal since ancient times. They stand on an equal footing with the Rajputs and Jats in the caste hierarchy; however they do not usually intermarry.


It is considered as a very progressive caste.


In appearance, they proclaim their Aryan descent. They are tall and wiry, have dark eyes, long noses, black hair and their complexion varies from wheatish to dark brown.


Ahirwar/Aharwar claim to be descendants of the Chandravanshi Kshatriya Rajput.


A community of Hindu Kshatriya belong to Ahirwada (Jhansi) are known as Ahirwar / Aharwar Kshatriya.



The Aharwar Kshatriya community was registered as "Aharwar Kshatriya Sabha" in Delhi on 30th Aug 1940(Registration no. 167) under ACT XXI of 1860.



Many Ahirwar live in different regions of India including Delhi, Mathura, Ahmedabad, Murena, Agra, and Jhansi. Further Ahirwars are scattered in different cities of Madhya Pradesh.


HISTORY

Ahirwar community is originated from mahoba. Mahoba is a town in state of Uttar Pradesh in the Bundelkhand region of India.

Ahirwar are the descendants of the great worriors named Alha and Udal of Mahoba.

Alha and Udal were the (kshatriya’s) and generals of Parmal’s army who fought in the battle of Mahoba between Prithviraj III and Parmal in c.1182.

The Chandelas recaptured Mahoba a few years later, but the city was captured by the Muslim general Qutb-ud-din Aybak,later Sultan of in 1203.


EDUCATION/JOB/BUSINESS

In preindependent India Ahirwar gained considerable political expertise by forming associations and by developing a literate cadre of leaders.

After independence Ahirwars grabbed high bearaucratic jobs like IAS civil services. Ahirwars in 2010 is well educated and economically well off community .

They have acquired technical and management education

Today they are in the field of MBBS, Engineering IIT/NIT/IIM, Information Technology, MBA, CA, LLB and business.
